Fact: Out of 3900 people that voted in New York only 60 voted for Yanukovych
and same kind of way majority of Ukrainians voted for USCHENKO
and minority for Yanukovych and and the difference in votes is a joke
New York is perfect example.
Fact: there are more Ukrainians in all around than in the Ukraine it self.

Fact: Yanukovych was in jail
http://www2.pravda.com.ua/en/archive...ber/18/1.shtml
:: Yanukovych: an academician, parachuter, jailbird? :: Ukrainska Pravda

Its B.S.
That Yanukovych is still maneged to win.
This is why there is over 1 million people in Kiev protesting.

wow, we see a lot of off-topic stuff but this is a first for me.

just asking, why would any american ukranians give a crap about who wins an election in Ukraine?? It seems like they are here now and would only be concerned with THIS election.

I'm german and I don't even know the names of any german dignitaries.....just wanted to point that out.

Well im Ukrainian - American Im from Lviv i lived there for 14 years. My family suffered under rule of communism. Once Ukraine became independent we were 1/2 to becoming realy independent because of the leadership was bunch of GOONS.

Especially the latest one Kuchma whom is famos for allegations of kidnapping-and-murder scandal. According to tapes presented by former presidential bodyguard Major Mikola Melnichenko - who is now in hiding with his family - Kuchma ordered the kidnapping and murder of Georgi Gongadze, an opposition journalist. Gongadze had been followed by Ukrainian state security cars before his disappearance last fall.
His headless body was discovered later in the year, but it had been mutilated so beyond recognition, including with chemicals, that only thorough laboratory tests have positively identified the body as Gongadze's.

? How you feel but me personaly.

I believe that since i still have the right to vote ill vote for better future for Ukraine.

I am Ukranian too. Even though I am U.S. citizen now, I was still born there - Odessa, Ukraine. I am very proud of where I am from, and also very sadden by what has happened not just to my birthplace, but the entire former Soviet Union. Just because the Cold War is over, and the communism is as well, that does not mean that everything is going to all nice and peachy. It has been 15 years since the wall came down, and its also been 15 years of constant misleading, corruption, etc. Not that there has not been any before the wall came down. At least before, the people had something to live for, they were proud! Now they have nothing to live for. And when so many people feel so strongly about this election, then you would bet your ass that you would do the same if you happen to be in their shoes. I do not blame them for how they feel. It is a democracy, people did vote, but there was also a lot of corruption, and that is what people are most pissed about!

It is allover the news and i want to hear your opinion.

Roddimus Prime November-25th-2004 12:06 AM

sadly, my personal opinion is that "I don't really care". I don't know anything about any part of the world other than what I'm forced to hear about on the news....which means USA and Iraq.

I find americans in general are very contempt to just worry about their own country....seems we have enough of our problems to fix before we start worrying about anyone else.
