Mom told me to buy the car a year later...she said that if I buy the Protege ES (new) now I will have to pay around 4,500 a year(she said she went out and ask) for the insurance (I'm in NYC and have no bad records, got my license around 3 months ago and I'm 19 years ago). I was like what the hell?? $4500? there's no way that can be true... I was thinkin' like $3000 a year the most...damn even if it's a full coverage.....can one of you tell me this is not true??

375 a month is high but it depends on were you live. cities are always higher. But i would still check with other companys. to see if you can get something lower. good luck. :bt:
