Those poor Corvette lovers :(

Now I feel bad for those Corvette lovers. As we all know that the next generation Vette, C6, will hit showroom in less than 2 years. The reason I feel bad, is beacuse the guy in charge of designing the exerior of the car is Tom Peters. You guessed it! The very same Tom Peters who introduced ASStek -> :gay: into this cruel and mean world of automobiles! :D

My Dad already ordered a C6. Not sure if he's going to hock his C5 with it, but we'll have to see. Chevrolet has undergone quite a few shuffles in the management department. Jim Campbell resigned as Corvette brand manager, and moved onto the SSR. That was too bad. I met the guy, and he really is nice. We'll just have to see if the concept photos (and they're about 80% accurate) are correct. Time will tell!

lol nick, maybe he'll just give you that old pile of a corvette that he doesnt need anymore :D (of course it aint a pile.... you know what im getting at though, that car is beautiful from what ive seen)

i hope the new Corvette isnt ugly.... like the new T-bird sorta is, even if the t-bird is a ford (if that has a relavancy)

Official info about C6 Corvette-it will be AWD with T-tops interchangeable with camping tent and leather sleeping bags incorporated into seats. Engine will have adaptor allowing use of engine heat as grill for BBQ-ing. Towing capacity will be 4000 lb and ground clearance of 1,5 feet.
When our correspondend asked head designer Tom Peters about his insiration he replied: " I dunno, I guess folks like everything to have some SUV flair.....If Porsche did it, why can't we ?"
First 500 buyers get free annual supply of chewing tobacco.....and mosquito repellent spray.

What about the 4x4 package for those who want to go BBQ in the country? or the Built-in cooler for your beers? Man chevy is slowly falling behind  :D

islandpro June-8th-2002 02:03 PM

Tom Peters was part of a design panel responsible for the Aztek. Hopefully that same design panel won't be going with him to work on the C6.

Its a corvette. It will still have four round tail lights and no metal body panels and will include no doubt an intoxicating V8 wail. The heads of GM and Chevy will not let them fuck it up. Are there any pics of concepts yet? Drawings?.....
