Strange weather patterns?

Isn't it supposed to be winter? We are having a slew of 60+ degree days!!

And what was up with the snow in Galveston?

Still confused about that...

Yesterday it was about 60 in Pittsburgh. I can't remember the last time I spent a New Year's Day outside without even a jacket! It was incredible.
And guess what I did all afternoon!?

Don't jinx it dam it!

It was freezin a week or so ago and now just as I was starting to enjoy myself again you have to go and ruin it. Just be happy its not as cold as it should be.

I have to say im really kicking my self for not going to time square this year, this was probubly my only chance to not freeze my ass off.

I'd have to agree it was kinda strange considering that I had the windows down, sunroof open and I WASHED MY CAR on January 1st. There's definately something wrong with that...!

You all are more than welcome to trade places with me here in Belgium. We got snow, ice and all that good stuff. In stead of washing my car I have to regularly wash the salt from underneath the car.

Yeah, its been pretty crazy here, too. Its cold today, but on New Years night we were outside playing football in t-shirts. I never remember doing that in December.

Phantom Cruiser January-2nd-2005 04:11 PM

Uh oh...I think I jinxed it. It's starting to cool down a bitsy...

Bartizek January-2nd-2005 04:37 PM

It's been somewhat normal here in PA new years eve i walked across a huge pond it wasnt too cold though only like 30 it's usually 10's here this time of the year.

But the tsunami thing had me thinking apocolypse for awhile.

Katonk January-2nd-2005 11:05 PM

I'm sure alot of us in California would trade with you. Although we in the SF Bay Area don't get near as cold as you guys back East, we *have* had measurable rain for 8 straight days and more forecasted for tomorrow (might finally get a break on Tuesday). I guess I should be glad I got the Zaino on the car before the storms came in.

Phantom Cruiser January-2nd-2005 11:05 PM

...and now there is freezing rain in the forecast. What did I do???

zerocover January-2nd-2005 11:17 PM

You've doomed ua all to an eternal bitter winter, oh woah is me!

30s? Walking across a pond? Where in PA do you live, at the top of Mt Davis?
It's been beautiful here in the 15-1 Steeler Nation!

I loved walking around First Night in Pittsburgh on NYE without a coat, or gloves, or boots up to my knees.

It's supposed to be like that all week. I can deal with the rain.
