If Qui con was safadious Obi Wan would have known. Qui Con was also not on the Jedi Council. (already mentioned) Even so Sith only have two a master and an apprentice. So Safadious couldn't have existed as a Sith while Darth Maul was alive. Now if Lucas or someone could just tell us who Safadious really was. As for the movie, the action scenes kicked serious but the first time the love story kinda sucked. I tell you this though after watching it three times things seem to get better for some reason. The storyline connects better and the dialogue (though still not great) starts to make sense. As for the ending, it was eerily similar to Ep 5 with Lea and Luke looking out the window. (much like anakin and padame looking out over the ocean/lake.) There are some serious things going on (a major fricking war, the first one in 1000 years.) And no one knows what's going to happen.
(although all of us do) Now underlying I get the hint that Yoda and possibly Windu are orchestrating this all. They let Anakin go out on a limb on his own. Yoda seems to know much more then what he lets on. Notice whenever anakin does something major they shoot to Yoda looking contemplative, ie the massacre of the sand people, ordering the ship down after padme falls, etc. He seems to know that Anakin is slowly slipping but that this may be the only way to balance to force.
Anyway now that I have totally geeked you all out, I will end my ramble.

I too think it's palpatine that ordered the clone army. Infact, i thought i read something somewhere that said that he chose the mercinary to be the donor.

Does palpatine become the sith from episodes 4, 5, and 6? That's where i'm confused...

onehawaiian May 25, 2002 06:01 PM

ah, fellow sw buffs, this is truly perplexing is it not? i'm sure all of our answers will be revealed in ep3, but for now we gotta suck wind and wait till the almighty lucas releases it. and that punk@ss starwars.com site doesn't even have saifadius on there.

things make more sense the more times you watch the movies. you tend to notice a lot more. okay, did anyone catch mace windus light saber color? it was purple. the only jedi with purple. the rest (and we all know the colors of the jedi saber) were green and blue. the sith have red, right? and what two base colors make up purple?

that's right! mace windu is a secretly scheming bad guy!!! booooooo! :p i'm just kidding, i don't know if he's bad or not... :squint:

i heard from my friend that seneter palpatine does become sith in episodes 4,5, and 6. i just saw it last night and it was pretty cool. the first hour of it was alright but the 2nd half of the movie... :bounce: bumpin i especially like how yoda limps in on his cane and then he just whips out his saber and starts flying then after the battle he can hardly move, poor old guy. anyway im lookin forward to seein episode 3. and btw, does anyone know the difference between the colors of the jedi light sabers? is one color a mastered jedi's saber? just wondering....

There isnt a difference in class for lightsabers. A young jedi gets to pic thier own crystals out for the saber. Depending on the crystal, depends on the color. This is what I gather from this webpage. http://www.angelfire.com/movies/jedigirlssr/herald.html

BTW, I believe there are only (4) colors Blue, Red, Green, and Purple

I still say the BEST lightsaber fight ever is between Darth Maul, Qui Gon, and Obi Wan from Episode1. Next would have to be...the first battle between Luke and Vader. Please don't try to say the crazy monkey on crack fight is one of the best.

I agree, my favorite fight scene tho in AOTC is when Obi Wan and Jango Fett fight when Jango and Boba are trying to escape the water planet. That kicked ass! I read that there were more fight scenes with Jango Fett, but they were takin out. Cant wait to see them on DVD when it comes out :D

ok, the movie was alright, but I didnt like the way yoda was fake. There were soem other things that a science advisor should have caught.

like when that bad guy in the back escapes the planet where all the jedi fight (i have no clue about name:p ) when he flies abck, he depoloys a SOLAR SAIL, and soemhow gets enough trust from a sun that it takes him LESS THAN A LIFETIME to fly to his destination.

his sail was like 20 feet across, whereas in real life youd need one about 5-20 miles across, and it would takes years to even get to a few miles per hour.

and once he GETS to teh planet, his sail is aiming near the nearest sun, which is BS THAT sun would push him the OTHER WAY and hed be screwed, that sun would deflate te sail and push it the other way.

there were some other thigns i disliked (like how it ended so quickly, and other problems that they decided not to ask a science advisor:rolleyes:)

LOL, are you serious about all of that??? Science Advisor?? There is a reason why they called it Sci-Fi or SCIENCE FICTION!!! LOL ;)

well good lor,d its one of the simplest thigns they SHOULD have done, most movies have advisors to etll them if it will be real or stuff, adn that solar sail scene pissed me off.

I mean they makie this ELABORATE scheme of some space moive, yet THEYC ANT EVEN make realistic travel.

but yeah, it CAN be sci fi, but they should GET TEH FACTS RIGHT...

they have all this HIGH TECH thruster crap and all of a sudden SOLAR SAILS? WTF? so primitive and bullshit, its pissing me off

come on john....the general public doesn't go to a movie like this and attempt to diasect it to see the inacuracies of it all....besides....I would be willing to bet the general public don't even have a clue what a solar sail is, much less how it works.......

and you know.....they NEVER have discussed the workings of "hyper speed"..... the simple fact remains there are certain mysteries involved with traveling between stars and back and the people that you left there are still alive! ..... instananious space travel from one point to another is PURE sci-fi.

onehawaiian May 26, 2002 04:47 PM

solar sails are relatively new to us, and we still haven't achieved space travel, much less light speed. altho a science advisor would might be somewhat helpful, do you think he'd understand the solar sail of the sith?

ah, but you're basing your specs on earth's technology today. remember, all this happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away... lol

dude, everything is fake. but i guess the faker fake things can piss people off. (i agree with yoda puppet being more "realistic" than digital yoda) :p

Sir Nuke May 26, 2002 09:39 PM

Hi all...well we got back about an hour ago or so....the movie ROCKED!! Lots of things, little pieces, getting put together here and there....had to explain some of them to the wife....she isn't as much of a sci-fi nut as I am ....anyway....there was really only ONE thing that really stood out in my mind...and that is IF Yoda can do all the ninja flippin around shit...WHY the hell must he walk with a CANE!! LOL just didn't make a lot of sence...he sure seemed to be awful spry for a gimp! :{D

onehawaiian May 26, 2002 10:30 PM

yoda is a jedi hustler. :p
