Short shifter
 

What exactly does a short shifter do? Does it shorten the distance between shift positioning or does it just mean the shifter sits lower?

yep.............makes shifting faster...................if it meant just having the shifter sit lower, I would cut it instead of paying for a short shifter:D

oh, and I think you should've posted this in the engine/drivetrain section..............;)
