Shoplifting at Wal-Mart

Yesterday, 2 of my buddies were caught shoplifting
at Wal-Mart. I know that's wrong but just listen.
They were in the electronics department looking
at PS2 accessories, and one of them got the bright
idea of wanting to steal a memory card. Well,
the other one didnt have a problem with it because
it was his best friend. So they opened the package
and got it out and Tony "the guy that got the idea"
stuck it in his pocket. Well, what they didnt know was
that they were being watched the WHOLE time.
Well, they get all the way out in the parking lot
and then a security guard comes up behind them
and asks the two if they had any stolen objects.
Tony had apparently somehow stuck it in his pants,
I guess before they had walked out the front door,
I dunno. But enyways, Tony told him no, that they didnt
have anything. Well the other guy told him to just give it up and
that they were caught. Well, he did. The cop came and took em' to the Juvi. That's all for that story. But all I'm trying to
say is that dont ever think you've gotten away with anything
especially if you fucking steal something. I just think it's funny
that the guard waited until they got out into the parking lot to arrest them.

I think they have to wait until you leave the store before they can have you charged. If you stick something in your pants, then wander the store, then take it out and drop it before you leave the store, you haven't actually stolen anything.

The thing about shoplifting is that you have to really know what countermeasures are in place before you try it. Someone trying to casually shoplift a place like Wal-Mart is just ignorant. Don't they wonder what those smoked plexiglass domes on the ceiling are? Don't they watch TLC?

"If it seems too good to be true - it isn't" can be paraphrased, "If it seems to easy to get away with - it isn't." ;)

My wal-mart is a lot different. I worked there a few summers ago and that wal-mart only has cameras in the electronics section. All the rest are fake. While I was working there I watched these 2 kids steal. Me and another employee saw one of em pick something up and put it in his jacket. Then they walked around the corner and because we lost sight of them for 10 seconds they got away with it. Wal-marts policy is if they are not in sight at all times before they leave the store that they can't stop them. The theif could have put the item down. Then if security stopped them outside and they had nothing on them wal-mart could be sued. Also the alarms at the doors that go off at this wal-mart are on so low that you will only get caught if you are carrying 3-4 items with the theft strips on them. They have them so low because there are only a certain amount of times the alarms can go off a day and they were going over the limit.

Limit ???? Why do the alarms have a limit on them ? So if the alarms are over the limit, that means that people are stealing shit and the employees of the store lower the alarms so people could jack even more shit without anyone busting them?

I thought it was the stupidest thing I ever heard when they told me. It was a manager that told me, so I think he would know what he was talking about. Plus I have never once heard or seen the alarm going off at this wal-mart. At Fred Meyer down the street the alarms go off all the time. I have had them go off on me a few times and my friends a few times too.

Yeah, jeez they're dumb

I mean, why would you try to steal from Walmart. If you're not going to try hard enough and research a little, then how dare you call yourself a thief. Well they may be theives but they're not going to get any respect from any "real" thieves. If you're a rookie you should start out ripping off mom and pop outfits because while theft at the mom&pop store could cause them to go out of business and lead them to personal financial ruin, it's easier to steal from them because they don't have all kinds of fancy devices and monitoring.

But not to say that stealing is ok or anything.

LOL....one time I saw a guy BOLT like a motherfucker out of a circuit city with 2 playstation 2s... nobody really did anything, but went "oh shit" because it was basically futile if he had a car waiting outside. But nevertheless I would have tried to go after him and make him give me a PS2, but I was waiting in line

aren't they gonna go after his ass?? I am pretty sure they got him on camera .................... would they bother to call the cops?

I worked a summer at Wally World too. They had a security guy walking around all day posing as a customer as a way to catch criminals. There was a group of about 20 employees that got fired for stealing while I worked there.

(Rant)
I just dont get it. Why can't people work like everybody else to earn money so they can buy the stuff that they want. Its those stupid fu*ks who steal that cause the prices of everything to increase. (/Rant)

you're so shallow minded... they care because they have to jack up the prices of their goods to compensate for their losses.. which means they LOSE customers because of higher prices.... it's called CAUSE AND EFFECT

You'd have to be real stupid to steal, especially the electronics section of wal-mart. If you are going to, take something from their and go over to like the sewing department before you stash it. They probably have 50 cameras in the electronics. Then again, don't steal anyways.

Of course the stereotype is usually true, most people that shoplift are
1.poor and on some kind of gov't aid
2.ugly and have ratty clothes
3.smell bad because they never shower.
4.extremely stupid, your friends are a good example

I mean how much is a memory card? 15 bucks? What a cheap bastard.

Sorry to say this but I'm glad your dumba** friends got caught, and be sure to thank them for making the prices higher.
:the finge

They'll have plenty of time to play video games...in juvi....LMAO!!!
