Shannon (1338) from GA died last night

Ron (tyrant) just pmmed me that Shannon his best friend and fellow mazda owner from the GACC was killed in a car acciddent last night. Police found his MSP wraped around a light pole upside down. No'one knows exactly what caused this but he was coming home from a bar real early in the morning.

Our most sincere condolances go out to his family who have not only deal with the loss of a child but do so at Christmas time makes things even harder.

Shannon was a great guy. Shaggy hair, always had a quick retort that made me laugh and loved working on mazdas. He and Ron were extremely close and we need to make sure that we stick together and are there to support each other when something like this happens.

No further details are available yet but as soon as their posted I'll let you know.

I'd like to ask everyone to write and send a sympathy card to his family. I'll get the address and post it shortly.

Shannon wasn't on this forum but he was a well-liked member of our community and his family should know how many friends he had that will miss him.

Shannon is on God's pit crew now.

Always sad to hear about a fellow Mazda enthusiast's passing.
I hope he wasn't drunk.
Still, put me down for $5, I'll snail- mail you.

From the local newspaper there:

andria.simmons@gwinnettdailypost.com

SNELLVILLE — A 23-year-old Snellville man was killed Tuesday evening when his car ran off the road and slammed into a utility pole.
Authorities said Shannon Seabolt was driving a 2003 Mazda Protege south on Everson Road near Leach Road at about 10 p.m. when he lost control. The vehicle veered off the pavement and collided with a utility pole.
Seabolt died at the scene, said Officer Darren Moloney, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department.
Preliminary investigation indicated that Seabolt was not wearing a seat belt. Excessive speed was a contributing factor in the collision, Moloney said. "

- money sent.

money sent-$5

Roddimus Prime December-9th-2005 10:28 PM

ok guys, thanks a lot. No need to send any more money. Everything is done and paid for. It's appreciated. If anyone wants to send anything the family would really appreciate cards with you and your car and your location.

They were blown away how people from all over the country got together and mourned for someone they never met.

It says a lot for our "community".

Yeah, I saw the thread on msprotege where his mother was reading all the posts.
