Pictures?
How do I post a pic in my signature? Don't suggest the SEARCH button, I already tried and wasn't able to get my question answered. I have a Yahoo account for photos. For some reason it doesn't like me linking to their site for my signature pic.
Thoughts? Thanks, Curt B. Shumaker |
yahoo and other such free space usually won't allow you to link to pictures. sorry.
|
ok
Ok, so who does allow you to do this? There has to be a "free" service. I don't believe for a second that everyones pics on here and the other boards are being hosted by a service they are paying for. If so, I must be the only guy NOT paying for this service.
Anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks, Curt B. Shumaker |
mine's hosted on the small amount of webspace that i get from my ISP.
i would think that most ISPs provide some webspace to their customers. |
Try villagephoto.com or imagestation.com, that's where I have some of mine...:D
It's free too... |
ok...
Do those sites let you link to them for pics used in a signature, for example?
Thanks, Curt B. Shumaker |
I use the web space that I got off of Geocities. Has worked great so far.
|
imagestation does allow you to link to pictures....I use them and mine have always worked. Geocities usually does not allow it however, unless you are paying for the service. The avatar pic is in the user profile.
|
yeah I pay for the service with Geocities for something else that I do. I just put my pics on there though and link to them. Luckily I have a lot of room on there so it the easiest way for me

If you want you can send me the pic at kilpaj@ilcdover.com and I will size it down for ya. I can try and help the best I can if you want.

Foxymazda - you need to get the web address of the pic, then use the [img] tags around it to use it. This is the same as using a pic in a message.
For example: Click this link, and you'll see the pic of a Protege5 from the top of this forum: http://www.rx7store.net/protegeclub.jpg All you have to do is right click on the pic you want, and choose Properties. Copy the web address there, and put it inside [img] tags, like this: PHP Code:
http://www.rx7store.net/protegeclub.jpg Do the same thing in your sig to get a picture in there - but watch your size - the mods here don't like large pictures - keep it small. Hmmm...come to think of i, I need to figure out a way to get my Knight Rider Protege back up...... Hope this helps. |
All you need to do is RIGHT click the mouse while hovering over the picture you want, then select Properties - it'll show you the exact web address of the picture.

use sounddomain.

cool!
Hey, thanks a lot! As you can see by my sig, it worked. Don't worry, I am not keeping these in my sig as they are tooooo large. They are just photos of my magnetic bra.
Thanks again! Curt B. Shumaker |
