Picture editing software??

I was just wondering what kind of image/picture editing software everybody uses?? I use Corel Photo House and I HATE IT! My digital camera takes pretty good pictures, but I need to downsize them so they won't appear so big when I post them on this website. I'm not talking about file size. I'm talking about reducing the size of the picture, say from 8 x 10 to a 5 x 7. Are there any FREE programs anybody is using that I could download from TUCOWS or SHAREWARE?

I use Photoshop. The capabilities of that program are almost endless, but I mostly use it to put people's heads on other people's bodies. :wee:

This is similar to what Menace said. If you're running XP, all you have to do is right click on the image in Explorer, select sizing, and a dialog box will come up. There's no need to open any other programs.

Or you could use Morpheus to download a full copy of Photoshop 6.0. Then you could use it to resize your photos and do a ton of other things to them.

I have Photoshop and Paintshop Pro. I personally like Paintshop Pro, since it is alot easier to work with then Photoshop. Photoshop is by far the best photo editor you can buy, but for the fraction of the cost ($80) you can get Paintshop Pro.

You can also look at Acdsee. www.acdsee.com If you ever used it before, you know its a great photo viewer, basic editor, and organizer. Its a great little program, exspecially if all you want to do is resize, convert, or change color/brightness/etc. on photos. Give it a try. :)
