Parking tickets
 

Okay, so I got a few piled up. I'm planning on disputing the city one since I don't wanna pay 50$ and it was at 3am. What kind of a parking lot attendant lunatic goes around at 3 am checking if people have permits to park. I just need a good reason to dispute it.
I got another one when I didn't wanna pay, so I got a ticket. That one is by one of the private companies so I'm just thinking about what they can or would do to collect their money. It says that they might go through a collecting agency if the ticket's not payed within a certain time, but I'm thinking that it's not worth it for them for 25$.

Anybody that could share some info with me?

as far as the one from the private company....you may think its not worth it to THEM for the $25...but it doesn't cost them ANYTHING to turn it over to a collection agency....HOWEVER...it will go against YOUR credit rating that will follow you forever, or at least a long time if it goest to them...and that will effect the types of loans YOU will be able to get in the future for a car, a house...anything.....so is it worth the $25 to YOU for the hastle? after all....from what you said before...it may have been stupid considering the time of day and all....BUT, you were parked illegally...RIGHT?

my advice would be to pay for it and get it over with. better to be safe than to be sorry. :bt: i used to work at blockbuster, and they used to threaten people with the whole "collection agency" thing, but it was pretty much BS. however, you never know how far that private company will go to get their money. :dunno:
