Owned by a State Trooper

I was driving home today from a visit with my parents, and this eclipse RS  was being a little crybaby when I went around him on the highway. He sped up enough so I couldn't pass him, so I downshifted and got around him (wasn't a race or anything). Anyways, I wasn't paying attention and all of a sudden there was a trooper on my ass with the eclipse nowhere to be seen.

To make a long story short, I was polite she (yes she) was polite and I got off very easy with one of those nice 'faliure to obey traffic control device'. Good thing to, because it was a 69 in a 45 which equals at least four points for me and a hefty fine. All in all I got off lucky, and it was a good reminder for me to slow down and pay more attention I guess. I'm just happy I don't get any points!

yea , I just helped my buddy put a turbo on his civic si. first night out in it we took it to the track, trying to do the right thing and not street race. after the races as we are leaving , you know how you are still pumped,he gets on it pretty hard up a hill, low and behold, here comes johnny law from no where 3 miles later hits him with a 101mph in a 55. damn, you cant win for losing.

funkdaddysmack, I found the troopers in PA to be rather nice in my one run-in with them about 2 years ago:

I was pulled over for speeding at night. I was in Cuddybackville (near Port Jervis, NY - where the NY, NJ, PA borders meet) and had gone to the store.

The trooper issued me a WRITTEN WARNING! Basically, it means that if I get pulled over again within a year, I will get the ticket that time, plus the one I got the warning for. I was awestruck! Being from The metro NY area, I have never heard of such a thing!

I was happy, and also impressed with how nice and polite the trooper was.

Just my experience.

The funny thing about it was after she was writing up the ticket for a while, I saw her get out of the car without her ticket book, it was still on the dash. Then she opened up the back door of the cherokee and started moving shit around. I was like Hole mother of fuck, I'm going to get arrested!!!! So she walks up to me, and I'm expecting her to ask me to get out of the vehicle, but it turns out she dropped my license down between the seats, and couldn't get it out. Man was I ever shitting my pants! It took her another 5 minutes or so to get it out from under the seats, and then I was on my merry way.

I've had two other run-ins with State troopers. My first speeding ticket, the guy was again very polite, but he could have let me off (49 in a 35 where no one slows down). The second time my friend and I got pulled over (in seperate cars) by a statie in the parking lot of the mall because I was flashing my lights at him because he didn't know it was me. That guy was a total asshole, who gets pulled over for flashing their lights at someone in a fucking parking lot??? I didn't get a ticket or anything, but he was awfully rude. I know his wife, she works at the mall, she's not much nicer either.

I have nothing buy respect for Cops in general, and I'm not going to give them a hard time if they pull me over. The way I figure it, if they took the time to pull me over, I must have been doing something wrong, or they're really bored and wanna hang out, hahaha...

Nah man - the warning was in PA.

And don't even get me started about the "expressway". How can a road that is a parking lot for 40 miles and for like 8 hours a day be called an "expressway"?

And whatever happened to doing consruction at night?!?!
