weeerd. For the price of a Porsche Carerra 2s (RWD, little squirrelly) you get like 70 more bhp (little bit more weight I think) and 4wd. The Carerra is faster straight line, but the R8 is much easier to drive on the track than the 911..

btw got that info from Season 10 of Top Gear --I think episode 1 of the season.. the season is AWESOME so far :)

i've always thought of the r8 as the new nsx, being that it's not horribly expensive, it's a supercar enough but no enzo or mercielago, it's styled exquisitely not audaciously, and it's meticulously made as if they put even more care into building it than ferrari or lambo. in other words, it's understatedly awesome.

just my impressions, i'll take one over a porsche...supposing i have enough head room.

You didn't post this new commercial.. plus the car is actually available now. I've seen two so far (one in Toronto and one in a rochester suburb).

the side proportions are weird (well it'd mid engine --most of them have weird side proportions) but I forgive it.. the car looks stunning without screaming "exotic" like it's Gallardo platform mate.

Yeh the commercial didn't exactly exist .. but damnit WE'RE MEN!! WE DON'T NEED COMMERCIALS to know a car is badass!! ARGGGHHHH!!!!!

video is really nice..but yeah I agree. I'm a huge fan of this car, so if I was actually on this forum a year ago, I would have posted ;)
