need some help with my avatar
 

I'm trying to use an avatar but the file is always too big, I already made it 100x100 and reduced the quality but it's still too big, how can I fix this using photoshop?

ok, I did it but I had to put the quality at 0 and it looks like crap :(

damn....just how big is the original?

take the original file....resize it to a decent size that fits on the screen with out needing scroll bars to view it, save it as a jpeg and with a quality setting of about 6, and you can email it to me if you like....jmh_jr@hotmail.com I will fix it up for you and email it back...not a problem.

thanx guys, here's the link:pic , however I want to know how to do this by myself, here's what I'm doing: (using photoshop and yes I'm a newbie)

-changing the image size to 100x100 pixels
-Save as...JPG
I did this the first time and it was like 6.56kb, so I had to turn down the quality until I hit 0 when it was small enough.

am I doing something wrong? maybe there's a better way...
