My Protege 5 Herds Deer
 

That's right.. my car is a vehicle of many talents.. on a back road on the way home from my parents tonight.. I got a great chance to test out these brakes.. was going 80km/h, pitch black out.. didn't have my high beams cuz there was an on-coming car.. and out pops a nice family of 4 deer onto the road.. slammed on the brakes, scared the crap out of them and me..

Managed to stop a few meters before them.. but no time for relaxing.. now the deer are frozen from fright on the road.. and theres a car coming in the other direction! So on go the emergency blinkers and I swung around and forced them off the road with my car before the other car got there.. If the other car didn't see the deer.. I'm sure they must have figured I was drunk or something :)

So there's my little useless story :).. my car is a hero.. think she'll be getting a car wash tomorrow...

while your washing your car ,don't forget your pants . I too have had a similar thing happen ,I had a bull moose and 2 cow moose run out to the car on the way to work last fall . man those things are big .

It's a rainy night.. the poor deer are scared and wet... the wonderful P5 herds them off a road to prevent them from being hurt.


If you wrote that post on a Saturn Forum I'm sure you would be highlighted in an advertising campaign..... hey change the name of the car and give it a try :)

ON a personal note glad that you, your deer herding car, and those poor deer are okay!
