my car was in an accident and the worst part is....
That I haven't even driven it yet!
My dad has a friend that works at mazda and got us the car(P5/323 hatchback) for a great price, anyways, he was going to drop it off at my dad's office on friday and when he was less than a block away he hit a truck from behind cuz it didn't have any stop lights and he didn't realize it was slowing down until it was too late, I haven't seen it because I don't live in the same city as my parents but he told me that it only hit the hood, everything else is ok. The thing is that they have to replace the whole thing (hood)...it'll probably be like 2 more weeks until I get my new car. :crying: Life's not fair.....sob....sob.... |
That sucks man, I feel bad for you. One piece of advice, go see the car BEFORE they repair it, just to make sure it's only the hood that was damaged.

Pr5owner:
Dude that was a big crash, I hope you had insurance. I had a similar accident with my galant I had to wait like 2 months as well to get it fixed. I forgot to mention that the front bumper had some scratches, nothing mayor but it needs to be painted, again this is all based on what my dad told me. One qestion though, how did you take so many pics of the accident? and, did the tow truck company pay for all your stuff? that really sucked. -JAC- |

Yeah man, don't get screwed over. If you haven't taken delivery yet, it is still their car, and they screwed it up. Either demand a brand new one, or demand they take $2-3gs or more off that price because your resale has just dropped through the floor...

It's a litle more complicated than that, see the guy that was going to deliver the car to my dad's office is also the friend that works at Mazda (he's an executive, not a salesman or something like that), they were supposed meet there and go out for lunch, the car is already registered under my name, with insurance and everything, the guy was just doing this a favor to my dad. You also have to bare(sp) in mind that he got us the car for a lot less of what it should've costed us. Of course I'd rather get a new one but I can't ask him to go back and get me a new car for the same price, besides, it's just the hood.
We got the car for 4 or 5 thousand dollars below it's real price thanks to this guy, I guess replacing a hood (paid for by the insurance) doesn't sound that bad. -JAC. |
BTW, how is this "off topic"???
I think it belongs in the general 3rd gen protege forum, along with some other post that were also put in this forum. |
