Mazda = Ford parts?

I'm very worried about this because I'm thinking of going for a Mazda (the MP5 looks, feels and even DRIVES like the way I want it). However, I'm buying later on in the future.

I currently have a Mazda MPV.

Is is true that some parts on Mazda are Ford parts?

Nope, well 98% of the Protege is Mazda made, and assembled of course (in Japan). In future, a couple of years down the road, people are saying that it won't be the case....

It was cool... I picked up my MP5 last night. Drives great.

Yer right, 98% Japan. In fact, there was this window sticker looking thing in my owners manual, and I couldn't read it as it was in Japanese. My wife takes a look at it (born in Tokyo), and she says...

"Oh, how cute! This is really neat... Your car was officially born on 11/17/2001 at 9:54 PM."

The sticker had all the dates of the build, when it was painted, when it was completed and parked in the garage, etc.

Car had 12 miles on it when I picked it up.... Awesome!

I thought everyone's did!? Mine just passed, February 20, 1998. The hour I don't remember offhand, but I think it's 7 am or pm.
