Please let's keep all the dicussion of the Internet Brands acquisition in one place. I'll answer questions openly and hostely, and representatives from IB will be here soon to answer questions as well.

This is nothing but a great day for the site in my mind, I hope you agree ... or at least come to agree. But if you're skeptical initially I understand. Just please be respectful when expressing how you feel.

Well here's my n00b question of the day.

What's IB Acquisition? I don't get it ..

Sounds like great news Ryan. Change is always a scary thing at first but knowing that you'll still have an active hand in things puts me at ease.

I'd like to say that Ryan has been a great guy towards me and given me basically a free-hand for a long time. During that time I saw 2 consistant truths.

1. Everyone seemed to enjoy the harmony with which the forum got along. Everyone understood that playing by the rules would yield the best possible experience.

2. Our user base was a dedicated but very small few.

Hopefully with some outside input and tools in place we can grow this forum into what we know it needs to be.

Sweet .. didn't even see that up there until you said something about it. Thanks for pointing it out, now I feel like a jackass cuz I didn't see something so obvious.

Anyway, it sounds like a great idea. I'll support anything that's gonna make this community grow as long as it doesn't turn into an online jungle like other forums do.

I don't care as long as we aren't pressed into some sort of mold. I was actually just on their wikicars.org site the other day cleaning up the Mazda3 article (it said the Mazda3 was the 4th gen Protege and we all know that isn't the case :P) and adding a link back to this site .. what a coincidence.

Now where are the dark overlords? What sort of presence will they have on here?

maybe this is also the reason for the forums acting a little funny lately?
