You'll put your eye out!
What happened to the MSP? Or is this just one of those "If only" wishes? I know those only too well, although to be honest I have been blessed in being able to eventually get my hands on things that I really have wanted. Just hang in there and it will happen. |
Haha, what a leap in power to go from an N/A automatic P5 to an MS3!
|
Yea this is one of those "if only" wishes cuz I know it can't happen anytime soon. I just like the cars a lot and wanted to start a pointless thread :)
As far as the MSP goes I highly doubt I'm gonna bring myself to do something like that. I'd really like to drive one at least, so I'm still gonna go down to that dealership tomorrow and check out the one I've been talkin about. The problem with getting an MSP is that I can't bring myself to take out a new loan for a car that's just as old as my current one. I bought my 03 P5 for $11K when it had only 3500 miles on it, so taking out another $11K loan for a car that's the same age and possibly in worse condition just doesn't make sense to me. If I'm gonna take out another loan it'll be for something new again .. like the MS3 :) |

Yeah buying a new car BLOWS for people like us who got good deals on our P5s.. I got mine for 10999 with ~7800 miles in Feb 2004
I'm looking at miatas and there are TEN YEAR OLD miatas with 80k miles going for 10999.. my car wasn't even alive for two years when I bought it (made June 2002).. it sucks.. meanwhile my car is only worth 5k dollars (or less depending on the dealer I go to). For me to get a new car without financing something I'd have to get a 92 miata with over 100k miles on it in not that great condition .. yay? |
Nay on the yay Kasei .. cuz I'm in the same boat. I'd rather just keep the P5 until it craps out on me than give it up to a dealer for $4K-$5K
|
11K is f'ing ridiculous for an NA w/80K--private party sale FTW. My Miata took two months to sell for $9500. When you're serious, shop in the dead of winter when Miata sales slow.
OT: I'd get into trouble with an MS3. Rather get a 3 sedan and tweak the suspension. |

You should be able to get around 10k here for a well kept P5. Mitsu dealer offered me 10K for me sedan, fyi.
|
That's not bad at all. Even though its $10K CAD that still equals out to roughly $8.5K USD or so?

This video puts a smile on my face :)

NO, IT DOESN'T HAVE A ROTARY ENGINE YOU TARDS lol |
When I first got my Speed6, I picked my gf up from the place she gets her nails done. The guy who does them (older Vietnamese) asked if it had a rotary. Apparently Mazda's commercials from the '70's had a greater impact than anyone figured.
My favorite thing along this line is seeing an RX-7 listed in the paper by a dealer as having a 6 cylinder engine. |

NO, IT DOESN'T HAVE A ROTARY ENGINE YOU TARDS lol Oh, and at the current rate of 1usd=0.91cdn, 10k is about $9100 USD. EDIT: On 24 Aug 2007, 1.00 Canadian dollar(s) = 0.95 U.S. dollar(s), at an exchange rate of 0.9501 (using nominal rate.) So 10k CAD = $9501 USD |
