I don't realy care who has my license plate #. It's federally registered (I work for the U.S. Forestry Service) so If any one tryies to use it it's considered a federal offence as well as a state violation.

Well, if they are trying to use plates that are already registered why worry, they are gonna be the ones in trouble when caught anyways..

if they get caught using mine they get 12years min. in a federal detention facility.

I would be more worried that people can get your information from just your license plates. There was a show a few years back. This guy asked if he didn't mind doing a check with just the person’s license plate #. He came back with SOOOOOO much info, SS#'s, Bank account info, how many cars they have had, sold, bought. You can get just about any info just from a person’s license plate, granted, the info will be of the person register to the car, so if you’re not the registered owner, No worries.

i kinda though that alot of info can be found with plates
im basicly half owner, my name is on the title, insurance, and some other cprap i had to sign

There is so much info everywhere nowadays about identity theft, and there are probably a lot more ways people can get this than we know about. I may be paranoid, but I shred anything I get that has my credit card number on it, as well as other stuff that could be used by others (like those unaskedfor credit card offers). I have enough problems with my credit from my ex, I don't need any else!

I figure that people see my plates all day long at stoplights, etc. If someone wants to rip you off or steal your identy, blanking out your license plate on the intraweb won't stop 'em.

IMO.
