I didn't want to Jack the alcoholic beverages thread

So we all know that Milk used to come in glass bottles, and pop used to come in glass bottles. And of course, unless you get it in cans, beer comes in glass bottles.
Now Milk and pop come in plastic bottles. What would your opinion be of beer that comes in plastic bottles??
I think its blasphemous myself.
There is a Brewery in Canada that has started to put some of their beers in plastic bottles and unless its free, and cold I'll never try it. Maybe I'm just being close minded but I prefer any drinks of mine tto be in glass over plastic, juice for example I find to be much better in Glass.

What are your thoughts on beer in plastic bottles??

I don't think anything should be in plastic bottles. What was wrong with bringing back the empties? Why bother recycling, when you can reuse?

They have been selling beer in plastic bottles at the baseball games here since they got the new stadium. It isn't bad, but I would rather have a glass.

Well, my dad works at a company that makes cans and bottles for beer, sodas, etc... so he knows a lot about that kind of stuff. He told me that the main reason why the plastic bottles have not been introduced (at least not in large volumes) is because of costs.

He has a lot of "prototype" plastic bottles and some that were actually introduced to the public, some of them are used in baseball/football stadiums in the US were you can't serve the beer in glass bottles.
