www.quicken.com/insurance and www.insweb.com for free quotes!
I just tried www.quicken.com/insurance and www.insweb.com after reading about their services on the Consumer Reports web site. I couldn't believe the savings I got and so I just got through calling Progressive Insurance and have insured both my 2001 Protege ES and '94 850 Turbo Wagon for just under $95 a month ($569 for 6 months).
I have 50k/300k/50k and 5k medical on both Comp/Collision and Uninsured Motorist. with 100/250 Deductibles. Also Road Side Assistance- unlimited to nearest service center and $20 a day car rental to $600. I think that's a pretty good deal considering I was in an accident 2 years ago totalling my 14 year old Accord (that's what prompted me to buy this Protege) and my Protege was broken into last summer while I was camping....had to replace the back side window. Other than that neither my wife or I have had any speeding tickets for the last 3 years. I commute 100 miles to my job 5 days a week and she commutes 50 miles. I am 42 and she is 38. |
