Honda Element?

I'm just curious what everyone thinks of this vehicle...

http://www.hondacars.com/models/mode...elName=Element

I saw one on the road the other day, and my opinions are mixed. It's kinda cool in a funky kind of way, but I would never drive one. However, I know that Honda is marketing this vehicle towards the Gen-Y, style-concious, active-lifestyle (insert cliche here) consumer, and many people on this board fit this description a lot better than me.

So, what does everybody think?

humvee lite

I can see old ladies driving it already.

I think they would look awesome with body colored bumpers, and slammed on 22s :) That would make a hell of a vehicle for a nice system.

It looks like the cross-bred offspring of an Aztec and a Trooper. Not exactly my cup of tea, but at least it has an AWD option and its price is reasonable. And though it is marketed towards the young, hip crowd, I'd expect to find them loaded with groceries and screaming babies, rather than snowboards and mtn. bikes...

That is one UGLY car. :barf:

It looks like a friggin' shoe box with wheels, it's not a car, it's not an SUV, it's not a wagon....it's just plain ugly, Ughhhh.

ZoomZoomH Jan 13, 2003 04:03 PM

Car and Driver described it as the offspring between an H2 and a Mini :barf:

It's FUGLY!:booty:

NO.

Nothing Honda is currently building inspires me with marked admiration. In fact, I'm personally offended by the Civic, Accord, and Element, and I consider them a violation in human decency. To me, they're sordid at the worst, boring at best. I find it hard to believe that Honda is serious about selling the Element and actually admitting that they designed and built it-- And in public, at that. In front of our children!!

What a downer from a company that use to build great cars. :(

For the love of fuck. It looks about as aerodynamic as a brick covered with burlap and a flaming lump of shit on top of it.
I'd rather get gang raped by the keebler elves and the lucky charms leprechaun, whilst having my hair cut into a mullet before I'd drive one of those bastards

Well, maybe not the mulet part, but for the rest, quite.

:3way: It sounds like you'd be pleased to have that happen!!! hehe j/k :D

I haven't ever really liked the looks of Hondas, except maybe the newest accord coupe, and some of the early 90s ones.
