helping a friend out

She owns a 91 plymouth laser. 4 cylinder. anyways..she says the car is running on 2 cylinders right now. Something about 2 sparkplugs shorted out and now it's running on 2 cylinders. She took it to the dealer and they assessed 1200$ cdn in damages. She also mentioned something about the injectors and ignition/injector coil(??). Any suggestions?? I know the description is kinda vague but any tips will do. I asked her to put 2 new plugs in and see what happens, but she won't get around to doing that till the weekend.

Thanks in advance.

umm if the 2 spark plugs aren't fireing the distributor might be shot too, if they shorted then the distributor is probably half dead. wires are obviously gone and same with spark plugs. the ign coil? maybe she ment spark coil? or whatever the name is the thing is basically a transformer to up the voltage going to your distributor so the spark plugs have nuff volts to arc across the gap

I don't mean to sound like a smartass or anything, but by the fact it's a '91 Plymouth... you may be S.O.L. and have a lot to fix.

Probably..but thought I'd ask anyways. Could be just coil packs or somethin. I told her to change the plugs and wires first to see if it works.
