greatest song ever- not p.c.

I wanna start off by saying that I don't intend for this to offend anyone but I feel I have to vent a little.

What the hells is with this attitude today about being a "baby momma" like it's a good thing? Do you guys know how pathetic it is to be 38yr old grandma?? Anyway, I've just been thinking a lot about the decay of our society and I realize that 99% of it stems from the acceptance of poor performance/lifestyle choices. It's as if it's the cool thing to do get knoced up at 16 and drop out of school cause "i'mma gonna handle mine". I'm so sick and damned tired of how it's no longer frowned on to be a drag on society.

Enter, Fantaisa and her new single "Baby Mama" the ANTHEM for single mommas and how they are to be praised. I vomit in my mouth a little when I hear it.

Thank goodness for the parody!! After listening to the sound clip on fantasia's website listen to this next link and enjoy.

i'd like to leave this thread open to discussion about this topic if we can remain civil about it. Obviously I have some strong opinions about the topic maybe you agree with me, maybe you don't.

p.s. Karen is my baby mama I got dibs..the rest of you jackals can fight over the new girl. :the finge

I think both songs represent the truth. There are some mothers that do try hard to keep the bill paid, kids fed, house cleaned while working and trying to finish school, be it high school or college. Those are the super-women of today's society. Their pregnancy may have been caused by a stupid mistake or by a stupid man. Or they're in the situation because of a divorce/death. To those women who are doing it and have done it I give http://www.msprotege.com/vbb225/imag...es/icon996.gif.

On the other hand, those hos that have 4 babies from 3 daddies, I spit on them. You are clinically insane. You do the same thing expecting a different result. You should have your vaginal walls sewn up until you can pass a compitency test for being a responsible human being. Not only are you a drain on yourself, your family, and society, but you are setting up your children for failure also.

wow, truer words have yet to be spoken!

Phantom Cruiser April-19th-2005 11:50 AM

LOL no babies for you Rodd!!! I have too many kids to put shoes...errrr...tires on already ;)

Seriously though, it's one of those things that is causing a downward spiral. Teenage mothers beget more teenage mothers and the trend continues. It is not entirely out of the question to have 26year old grandmas these days. What a shame. Most (not all) of these 'families' will not be able to get an education and will be a drain on society for their entire lives!! I have not yet seen one 'teen baby mama' that is able to get it together and be a parent to their child (ren). What I see is a lot of welfare, WIC, etc. I have also noticed that most of the parents (now grandparents) just coddle their teens and let them live out their teen lives by taking over the parenting for their daughters (or sons).

I've also been a witness to the 4-babies, 4-fathers thing too. Shameful.

I agree 110% with you

My ex had a kid when whe was 18. She is now 22 and her daughter is 4. She can barely scrape by, between car payments, rent, day care and two jobs. She wishes she had an abortion, but her over-religious mom said she would have dis-owned her if she had. She still loves her daughter but she doesn't want to raise her this way. I feel for her, but at the same time what Rogue said is right on target.

Women have put themselves in the position that sex at an early age is acceptable and is "normal" by today's standards. My ex lost her virginity at 13, wow. These are children, little kids, and all I hear about is sex from children. My bosses son cares solely about sex in high school, academics are for "nerds" who don't get any.

My ex didn't use protection so she gets what she deserves, even though she struggles, and dad doesn't want anything to do with the situation. Makes me sick really. Low quality of life produces low quality of life. Our society needs to teach that there are consequences for all actions, not teach that it's ok, there are ways around everything. We have a bad tendency to bend to take care of the lowest-common denominator instead of teaching and making quality a way of life.

p.s. back in the 50's and 60's unwed mothers were put into a group home almost like an insane asylum. Nowadays they have songs praising them....what the hell happend

jonesboy35757 April-19th-2005 01:32 PM

yes all of this is true. But may I mind you that a few of you have probably had sex in highschool and if the rubber broke then this situation would be on you as well. It is true that this is a drain on society. There are a few that are doing what it takes to change their situation and not be a drain on society for their whole lives. My cousin was one girl that was trying to get her priorties in order. She had her baby when she was 19 and she stayed in college and drove an hour each way to go to a University and she made good grades while she was at it. That was all changed last week when she was on her way home from school and a man decided to turn around in the middle of the street on a highway just over the top of a hill. They collided and the accident killed my cousin and her boyfriend. This was an example of a girl who was correcting her mistakes and taking responsibility for her actions. The boyfriend was not the baby's father as the father did not want anything to do with the baby. I commend her boyfriend who died with her as he was a real man and did not care about her situation and still loved her anyway. Now she is gone and leaves behind a peice of her self, she was a girl who knew how to not be like deadbeats that drain our society, for that I commend her and will miss her.

Dont know man, maybe its kind of our society fault for not providing adequate education about sex and posibilities and harships of having kids at the age when a person has no career and adequate education to get a good job after pregnancy. So remember kids: Your momma and daddy will not always be there to make this better once you have sex and have kids of your own, life will be a motherfucker.........

Roddimus Prime April-19th-2005 01:44 PM

I feel for your situation Johnnie, you know I do. the point of this thread though was how pop culture as a whole would rather praise someone for NOT acting right than praise though who are doing it right.

Same thing with Ganster rap....you know , it glorifies gangsters and thats why there are so many wannabe thugs running around...same with Fast And Furious...look at how many ricers there are now....same difference.

When do we as a society say "This is NOT acceptable...let's help you to get on your feet so YOU can do it without our help."

Phantom Cruiser April-19th-2005 01:46 PM

Perhaps I had sex as a teenager  ahhaahah but I am almost 32 and have not borne a child yet....is that a result of my upbringing/education/religious nature/access to proper birth control measures???? Hmmm....there ARE ways to NOT have a kid. We need to understand that kids WILL AND DO have sex and the kids need to understand the consequences of their actions and how to prevent unwanted/unplanned pregnancies.

Man, I need to become an advocate or something...go have talks in elementary schools around the country ;)

jonesboy35757 April-19th-2005 01:47 PM

You are rite Matty.People should praise people for this type of behavior. Rather it should be shunned and corrected. The times have changed so much and I can not say it is for the better.

Roddimus Prime April-19th-2005 01:54 PM

I just remember when it was "cool" to do the right thing....now it's considered the proper thing to do to be an out of control teen.,

jonesboy35757 April-19th-2005 02:00 PM

even with contraceptives accidents do happen. That is what I was saying. It is how you handle the reprocussions that make you into what society calls a drain. Handle your mistakes or let society handle them for you, that decides your worth. No contraceptive is 100%. But they do help. Just let the children know that these things do happen and they be prepared to handle life and not be a burden on others for the rest of their lives.

jonesboy35757 April-19th-2005 02:02 PM

Lets do what pop culture does not. Preach the truth!
