Cops are on a rampage for aftermarket parts ... anything and everything - they tow cars on the spot and don't care how the people get home ...

ive heard, my friend lives in BC with a prelude, he tries to keep it as stock looking as possible but he still gets pulled over once in a while, all he has is strut, tie bars, lowering springs, CAI, DTM (close to stock looking) exhaust.

Fight it..... You did not modify your muffler, you replaced it.
Since when did muffler shops start selling factory parts......

i wish you the best of luck pr5owner, but when the judge hands you a court order to have the thing removed, just remember who was trying to talk some sence into you. and about motorcycles being louder than you, again they come stock like that, your car didnt come stock with a loud muffler. because believe me the cop will show up for court, and all he has to do is read the part about the illegal exhaust mods, and your done.
