got pulled over for exhaust?
 

the officer said its illegal to even modify your muffler, and he gave me a god damn ticket for it. WHAT THE FUCK! my muffler is not loud at ALL compared to the mazdaspeed muffler, dealers have special editions of p5's with the muffler installed already before any one buys it so WTF?

fight it man. That cop was on a power trip or somethin.

i love it when cops are like that, but its always so rare:(

just what kind of muffler do you have? did you in fact modify your STOCK muffler? or did you put on an aftermarket one? do you have the mazdaspeed muffler? I guess we would need more details as to what you have and have done before I could say that the cop was totally out of line or not.

god damn cop .. he was right.. it looks like you can't modify your exhaust AT ALL!!! and you HAVE TO HAVE A muffler on your car... WTF! stupiest shit ive ever heard of. he also made my rev my engine and hes like "whoa!! thats loud!" stupid dumbass...

FYI i have an Apexi N1 muffler w/ 2.25" catback custom bent exhaust

that's crap. if the issue is noise..........

none of these aftermarket mufflers are louder than the bloody harley's rolling around this city. none of them.

if anything should be pulled off the road and ticketed, it's bikes. there's no way your car is as annoying as a motorcycle.

Sounds like you're screwed :( Sorry to hear it, he was definitely on a power trip. I've YET to hear an exhaust on a pro 5 around here that was even remotely loud.

ok maybe you guys no nothing about the law, i too just last week got a ticket for my muffler, 68 bucks. he was within the law when he gave it to me. law stated in no way can you modify your stock muffler. its not supposed to be louder than it was when it was stock, but go ahead and fight it. because all thats gona happen is your gonna get a court order to have it removed. then your gonna have to get it inspected again. so if you wanna take it off go ahead and fight it.

Yeah, one time I got stopped for speeding and I was listening to the Grateful Dead. The cop comes up to the window and asks for my license and all that and he heard the song playing and asked me if I was a Deadhead, I'm not really, but I said yeah so he gave me my license back and said have a nice night.
Funny enough that the song I was playing one of the lines in it was "pays my ticket when I speed"
