Good rear wheel drive car...

Im looking for a good rear wheel drive car. Of course there is the ol' 86 Corrolla GTS, but those are hard to find in decent condition. Im not sure if there are any protege's that are rear wheel drive. I know there are miata's but I kinda wanna stick w/ a hardtop... and I know I can buy a hardtop... but you really cant find miatas for cheap. Anyway, any thoughts?

What other qualifications do you have for "good"? Price? Front or mid-engine? Country of origin? IRS or solid axle? Etc.?

A couple of very different suggestions that haven't been mentioned yet:

4th-gen (93+) Camaro/Firebird. This is IMHO the best-handling (in stock form) solid axle RWD car I've ever driven except maybe an AE86 Corolla GT-S. Older models are available for relatively cheap ($6000 minimum for a good one) and have AWESOME amounts of power- in a straight line, the 98+ LS1 cars will humiliate any stock Jap import ever except maybe a 3.2L 6-speed NSX. However, bad points include less-than-stellar reliability, large exterior dimensions for a sporty car, and HORRID interior packaging.

E36 BMW 3-series. Exceptional handling, great build quality, and smooth, relatively powerful engines (in 6-cyl. cars). Really, really nice interiors and fit-and-finish. Bad points include high parts and repair prices, and high purchase price for a good one (avoid 1992 models).

Just my $0.02 :D
