Going public with my website...
Finally got the website for my Protege 5 to a point where I am ready to share it with the public. As with any page its not complete and is a work in progress. Feed back and suggestions are welcome.
Check it out... http://ump14.mine.nu:2020/nicks_protege.htm Oh yeah...as I was posting this I remembered. I have nothing on the drag strip page, haven't been yet. But there are no pages for those links so you'll get a dead link there. Also, on my links page, I want to include a section just for other peoples personal protege pages, so if you want me to link to your page, post it here, or send me an email. --Nick |
Well done. For once a new site with some useful info on it. I especially like the tire theory section. Couple of issues, the menu image under external mods (painted calipers) is not working, and there is a cone at the bottom the autocross section (half cut off) that doesn't link anywhere. Neither link under the dragstip section works either. I'm not a big fan of the Mazda border you have going on. It makes it a bit cluttered, especially for those with smaller resolutions. Keep up the good work and keep up the content and you'll have a pretty good site going on.

yea i like the page, some of ur html code is impressive, neway here is the link to my personal 1st gen pro page
http://www.angelfire.com/nb/disel159/home1.htm i need to do some work to it but it its there for you to link to |
Thanks guys, there are a few dead links. As I stated before, there is nothing under the drag section, and there is nothing under the results section of the autocross. I will put some sort of space holders there so they don't show as broken links. I should point out, just incase people don't figure it out, that each menu (if need be) can scroll using the little mazda emblems in the corners.
Sorry about the Mazda border making it small for you. I may work something out later, but as of right now I like it and I figure most people are running the higher resolutions now a days. I made it with 1024x768 in mind, which is reasonable even on a 17" monitor. :dunno: Thanks for the problem reports..... |
Nice web page.
BTW, how do you change the color of a car on photoshop w/out losing the shading? |
looks good :D
I am working on re-working/doing it right for the first time for my site and actually have a somewhat similar layout set-up. |
Nick
I really like your webpage, especially your tire theory, it makes a lot of sense........ keep it up and let us know when you update it |
Thanks for the compliments guys. I'll post any updates in a thread. I'll also put any updates in the news section of my website so if you stop by you can see what might be new since you last visit. My next two mods are gonna be simple projects. Im gonna shave the side molding and modify the door locks to fit flush.
Redrims. I am on my laptop, which doesn't have adobe on it so I am not real sure about the menu selections. But it works something like this. Select the area of the color you want to change using the laso and magic wand. The more time you spend here the better, then right click on the selection and select 'layer via copy' or something like that. Then, at the top go to the layer menu, drop down to color I think.....then I use either color dodge, or color burn, each one yeilds a little bit different results. You have to play with the color settings for each of those to get the color you want. But that's it. There may be some tricks some of the good photo shop guru's around here can offer....but that's what I did. |

Its not hosted on a "real" web server per se, but on a friend of mines computer through road runner. He said something about revamping the network setup in his house, so it may have been down for a bit. I just tried it and it worked fine, so just give it another shot and let me know if you are still having problems getting to it.
