though, it was hardly an ass-kicking... the game was closer than the score shows it to be.

Of note, most of the Canadian team plays for American NHL teams, and gets paid in American $$$. (Of course, the same can be said for most of the other teams in the Olympics.)

Congratulations on the win, Canada friends... I'm happy with the silver considering hockey is pretty much a joke here in the states. Sure, some people like it, but it's not as popular as most professional sports around here. I think I would have felt bad if we would have won!!! :laugh:

I especially loved this year's Canada team because of its diversity (1 half japanese guy, 1 half black guy, 1 guy whose parents are Yugoslavian!!, etc.), and the fact that there's no players that I don't approve of being chosen.....
