That double sides sticky stuff ....

Anyone know how to remove it? You guys know what I'm talking about right ... the double sided sticky adhesive. I wanna take off my cf mirrors but I don't wanna break them, and that sticky stuff holds pretty damn good. What the heck should I use to make it loosen its' grip?

try to get some 3m spray adhesive remover from your local Wal mart or parts store

We're getting somewhere ... I'll try it.

I've found that yanking really hard usually does the trick...followed up by some Goof-Off for the leftover residue.

knocked one of my mirror covers halfway off with the sprayer at the carwash. yanked and it came all the way off. didn't leave any crud behind.

Happened once before .. it actually flew off completely when I shot it with the water! This time I actually want it to happen though, that was completely unintentional. I tried tuggin on them and all sorts of stuff but I just get the feeling they're about to snap in half ... so they might be staying on for good.
