I'm looking to get my antenna put in, the protege 5 one and having the old one taken off, the hole sealed and painted. thing is i dont wanna go 2 a collision body shop and ask them if they can do it.

does macco do it? if not, what places would, b/c i cant think of any custom shops in the area.

Maaco does body work, but they do a shitty, shitty job. I'd take it to a specific body shop. Why not take it to a collision center? They'd probably be happy to have such an easy job.

I remember hearing about a maaco that did a paint job in a car, one of their bargain basement 300$ jobs and didn't even wash the goddam car first. Just painted right over the friggin dirt.
I don't know if its true or not, but with some of the crazy assed stuff, that goes on in the world, you never know.

i had them fix my car after a collison, and they actually did a good job, i had no complaints, u cant tell there was any damage

My roomate got his car painted at maaco. Less than a year later all the rust they supposedly got rid of is back, in the same places. He was, and still is, pissed.

One of my friends got his car painted there and the stupid asses missed a few spots, like one of the door handles:D
I guess it was good enough for a $300 paintjob though......

Try doing the prep work yourself so you could save a couple of bucks. It shouldn't be that hard taking your old antenna off and sealing the hole yourself. Why not even put the new one on yourself ?

yea i def. think i wont be going there for my antenna lol.

thing is what should i seal it with, and painting that seal, like would i use touch up paint? then drilling holes i dunno im a lil iffy about that. i know what i need for the antenna already, i just need the extension wire. maybe i'll work with an ex-mechanic family friend of mine, but i dunno the paint and drilling is when i feel i shouldnt try it w/o help of a shop.

Maaco sucks ass!!! I took my old car there to get the hood painted because of all the stone chips in it. I swear they just painted over the old paint and there was crap stuck to the paint and a damn bug!!! I never went there again!

Do a search on google and look under Macco. There is a horror story I read about macco on the internet that will make you think twice about doing business with them. There are alot of bad stories on the internet about Macco. Also do a BBB check on the body shop you will being doing business with.
