Differences With HID's
 

Ok, I've seen HID's before, and sure they've got that "neon" look, but what's the big deal? What's the difference really, is what I'm trying to find out. What's a ballast, etc. I heard that it's actually bad to have HID's run on and off alot. Is that true?

Basically, I know what they are, and what they do, but I want to know how they work! Can anyone "shed some light" on the subject? LOL! Couldn't resist! :D
