Cute Story

So Saturday I thoroughly clean my car inside/out. It was all sparkly, leather all treated and just looked damn good. Around dinner time I head out to visit some friends and always the early bird I decide to take a nice drive along the river front before heading over. I pull into this parking lot that lets you look across the river at Detroit. There happens to be quite a few cars there with families walking around enjoying the view and beautiful weather.

I see this little boy approaching my car, he couldn't have been more than 4-5 and he's running. He yelling something to his mom but couldn't quite make it out. He walks over to my drivers side and then goes right in front of my car, crouches down, looking at my grill and starts yelling to his mom, 'mom, its the new Mazda 4, its the new Mazda 4' and starts jumping up and down all excited.

I kinda of giggled to myself and smiled at his mom, it was so cute. Firstly I couldn't care less that he said Mazda 4 but that he said Mazda was kinda neat. Now i've been a car guy all my life but don't remember getting that excited at that age and actually knowing the name of a manufacturer, just reflecting back he's definitely on the right track in life.

lol

Great story! That needs to be my kid one day..

That kid is pure win. Not only does he know the brand just by the front emblem, but he identified a car that hasn't been made in 4 years as a mazda - the car is as old as he is!

Also, it's pretty sweet that he knows the succession of model names, and it actually makes sence that he called it a '4', being that it fits the current generation's lineup. If Mazda we're to release a new car, it would most likely don that name.

Yeah I'm never going to forget that, so cool.
