I never use a card to buy anything unless I have the cash to pay it off when the bill comes in...we pay enough for our parts as it it...I am NOT going to pay some OTHER company EXTRA money (interest) for my parts...

Don't do it!!!!!

Having stuff is nice, sure, but the debt has a way of lingering forever. And the finance charges can end up costing you more than what you bought in the first place.

I never thought I would find myself in this situation, but once you fall to the bottom of the debt hole, it can be verrrrrrrrrrry hard to climb back out.

Sorry, don't mean to rain on your parade...just something to think about.

:)

Well, I'm one who doesn't mind using credit for some purchases.

But I basically try to abide by two rules when using the cards:

NEVER max the card out. Always leave room for an emergency - a few hundred bucks AT LEAST. Plus, if you max the card, there is always the chance of a missed payment or something, then you get late payment fees AND over-the-limit fees, and interest on the fees, and then I think they take your first born male child - it gets NUTS.

Second rule of mine, is NEVER pay the minimum amount. I always send as much as I can afford at the time. I've had cards with $1500 in charges on them, and a $20 minimum payment - would take DECADES to pay that off. So, I try to send $300 or more EVERY time, and pay things off in just a few months.

Best idea I ever heard about how to stop compulsive credit card spending: Take a big zip-loc bag, and fill it with water. Put the cards in the water. Put the whole thing in the freezer. Now, if you want to make a credit card purchase, you gotta think about it before you do it.

max it out! max it out! lol, i never see an item as $1500. i see it as $45/month! anyhoo, i'm already $30k in debt, what's another thousand or two?

if you can handle payments, and are not impulsive like me, then go for it. but remember this, as soon as you sign that dotted line, you'll get a call on your cellphone for an emergency that cost just as much as you charged...

if you are responsible, then use that card (those cards) moderately. but if you are irresponsible, then hell, i need a cai, catback, more sounds, some mirror dice... :D

I use the credit cards and she helps me pay the bill is this a deal or what. Shes only givin me about 2000$ the rest i've paid for.
