coverting this to that

Have you ever wondered EXACTLY what people were talking about when they were using differnt UNITS than you are use to using? like using N-m (newton meters) insted of Ft-lbs (Foot Pounds) for torque? OR Kw (Kilowatts) insted of HP (horse power) for POWER.....or terms like ATMOSPHEREs when talking about air presure? ever wonder where you could find the answers to what is what? well wonder no more.....go to A Dictionary of Units of Measurement and MOST likely you can find your answer.

happy converting!! :D

Very nice find. I will find this very useful at my current work where I always have to convert ppmBTU into lbs per hour and so on. Thanks

YES, however.....you have to PURCHASE the coversion factor...and its VERY VERY expensive. :{D you can imagine how popular that one is....so they don't just give it away.

Speaking of conversions...I was once on a TSD (Time, Speed, & Distance) Rally, commonly called a Navex (Navigational) Rally...one of the speed instructions was in light years per leap year....ie: 186,000 miles/second / (4 x 365 days + 1 day). Compute that while you're driving along...

I hope you had a calculator!! lol that or a BIG tablet of paper and a lot of sharp pencils!!! lol

oh btw.. 1.002744 lightyears/leap year

lol
