Countdown to my newest toy
*Yay for me!!*
So I secured a new job with my current one. You are now looking at a new JVC rep. That's right biotches. $10 an hr @20hrs a week (I only work Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun)...let's do the math. That's $200 a week x 4 weeks $800 x 12 =$9600 (tax free mind you...it's on-base). My contract is good for one year, and it's automatically renewed at the end of my contract year...that's a sweet deal I'd say. So for my new toy....I've got my eye on a 3rd gen RX-7....the pimp wagon can be my daily driver....the Seven will be the Sunday driver. After checking out Autotraderonline....it seems that turbo 93's are going for less than $10k....can my dream be realized? If not, gimme a reality check...just a reminder, my REGULAR job I pull in just over $1,2xx.xx k every 2 weeks...so regular bills and shit is already covered. Holla atcha' boy one time. Regards, Phil  |
i'd be REAL leary of an FD for $10K. If you're serious about buying one I know a guy here in Irondale who has a VERY nice, very Fast FD for about $14.5K....just been repainted, full bolt-ons...makes about 330whp.
It'll be a year or so though...but the $10k FDs are my last ditch choices.
Just make sure you make a budget for "FD repairs". I hear they can be quite costly.
My Mom STILL has her 1989 RX-7 GTU...that's a monster....I'd even settle for a 2nd gen T.
A second gen turbo II would be more reliable. Congrats on the job...Gawd..how long has it been since I made only $10 an hour......
