Chevrolet and Cosworth

Heh, just saw this in Autoweek, thought it was pretty funny:

Tooling for a corporate racing motor... $20 Million
Buying your way into 30 out of 33 Indy starting positions... $5.2 Million
Tweaks to be competitive with the newcomers... $12.2 Million
Having to rely on your lifelong competitor to breathe life into your engine... Priceless. :)

Yes, this is very funny! I was watching the speed channel, or NASCAR TV, does not matter much to me anymore, and they mentioned how weak Chevy's engine really is, and its only beneficial to have on certain and rare events/races. I was amazed that Chevy when to Ford for help, but it is also ironic, because Ford is the sole supplier for engine to CART teams. But I think IRL is not exciting at all, its just an open-wheel-car version of NASCAR Winston Cup cars, that go round, and round, and round, and round, and other than Indy 500, their races are only 250 miles, tops at best. F1s cover more miles then that in a race, and even though F1 has becoming boring and boring every year, it is still better then IRL, CART, NASCAR all together. Ok, I think I have said too much. Later :)

I thought maybe you were talking about these:
Cosworth Vega

They had a seperate article recommending Cosworth Vega II as one of the cam cover names though the Vega was a pre-Ford ownership designed car.
