Just don't ever get another VAIO and I'll forgive you just this once. :wiggle: sony makes good .......ummm.....play stations.. but their comptuers are very much overpriced. btw, I had that LCD monitor, and it's probaly one of the overpriced sony LCD's that's defentaly worth the money.. |

I did buy 2 HP laptops since then, so am I forgiven? and no you're not forgiven D: because HP laptops are made very cheaply. Their desktops are ok, but laptops..., well I had four fall apart on me in 6months from the day I bought the first one. one even acutaly exploded (the li-ion battery leaked) I'd check Hp.com to see if your laptop has had any battery recalls, alot of li-ions have been recalled these past years. generaly speaking.. dell is king for retail computers. but their laptops(dell's) are the best, second only to IBM Thinkpads (which are no longer made.., since Lenovo bought IBM's PC division.) for desktops it would go something like: dell,HP,compaq, sony, gateway, emachines for bestprice/quality ratio. |

I just needed to have a power cord replaced on one of them cuz my brother's dog decided it tasted good, and a battery replaced on the other (after 2 years of every day use). Dell does have good deals and I know a lot of people that swear by them, but every Dell I've used has been a piece ... then again they were ancient school computers so I'm sure they've improved since then. I'm just glad to hear that what you buy works out for you, but I don't know how you can rate Sony behind eMachines and Compaq?!?. In my honest opinion Compaq is the worst (or at least used to be) PC brand on the market, but Dell and HP definately do dominate. I'll agree with you on Sony being overpriced as well, but their PCs are at least more reliable than Compaq and even eMachines/Gateway. I have nothing against eMachines since that was my very first PC I bought 6 years ago and it is STILL running, but from my Best Buy work experience I've seen more eMachines and Compaqs come back for repairs than any other brand... |
niceee....

I think the best brand out there its the "generic" that way you can pick the exact pieces you want/need and usually you get a better deal putting it togheter yourself, than buying any brand name, even dell, and came on, if you know how to use a screw driver and how to read, you can put a computer together, the only donw side if that you f*uck something up, you are on your own, no warranty :D |

Dell's used to suck I agree..and their bottom line comptuers still kinda stink.. but the stink is much less than that of other bottom of the barrel computers. Most problems with today's comptuers imo.. can be attributed to one of three things: dust build up, which a $4 can of compressed air can solve if done every month, spyware/adware/ general malware. which a $30 router or free sybot S&N can solve. Or, just location of the computer itself.. I think most people don't realize that computers today need to be in AC rooms on a desk and not on the floor ina wooden cabinet where it can create it's own sauna. 2405FPW, no i dindt heard ill look for it... only donw side if that you f*uck something up, you are on your own, no warranty |
