I just read this, its from the New York Autoshow....

Toyota Has a New Brand
Toyota used the nation's media capital to make official what has been common knowledge for months: Japan's largest automaker is establishing a new, distinct brand in the United States to attract the youngest car buyers.

SCION (pronounced SY-en) will be up and running at select Toyota dealer locations by summer 2003, with two vehicles offered. One will be a version of the bbX concept on display in New York. A production model of the small, multipurpose van-like bbX is on sale in Japan already and is known as the Black Box. "It is marketed to Japan's youngest buyers as a melding of entertainment-art and basic transportation," explained Jim Lentz, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. vice president for SCION.


take a look at the picture if you haven't already see it....they got the name all WRONG.....that or there is a typo....it shouldn't be the bbX.....it SHOULD be BOX!! LOL later in the article it goes to say that they (toyota) is already selling it in Japan and they call it the "black box" over there....lol.....

Paint it yellow and all the special people will jump at the chance to buy it.
