Bonnville...
im really interested in a 89 SSE... i just wanna know ppls opinion abt bonnevilles... pros cons... throw nethin...
ewwww domestic... ewwww
haha other than the fact tht its domestic?
its a pontiac and not a good one either even if its an sse. my opinion though.
Here's my opinion: if it was well maintained, you are in need of a daily driver-beater, and it is ~$1k then I say go for it.
ride quality=lackluster
feel=boatlike 0-60=slow fit & finish=does not exist value=a good deal if you can get it for $8.99 |
i'd take taht car for 8.99
i'd use it for beefing up my mechanic skills, cuz i wouldnt care if it broke. If thats the case your in go for it! |
why are you looking for one? Most 80s cars, esp domestic ones (save for the Grand Nationals) are ones to forget about. I'll echo Phantom on this otherwise. Get it for cheap though; it looks like they go for anything around 1500 give or take a few hundred. Again, why? Just to wrench around on?

i actually need a daily driver....

If its been taken care of and you dont abuse it they can go well into the 150k mile range. I used to run auto shops and the old people drove them for a long time.
really any car can run for 150K if you take care of it and don't beat on it with a few exceptions (kia, daewoo)
very true, even old chevy vegas can go 240k (but maintenance must be religious or else).
