rice? nice?

ok, the anime ones might be a *bit* too much but i really didn't mind them on the EL i saw.

Love your avian friend! I know it's a conure, but is that a Jenday or Nanday variety? I was adopted by an unloved Quaker, who after many years, has become a very social, yet demanding, part of the family.

it's actually a blue-masked lovebird. kiki.

i used to have a jenday conure. i loved that bird. i miss him.

all these birds are extremely demanding. my cockatiel isn't bad but the lovebird is a sponge.

cool... i never considered it to be a Lovebird from the photo - it looked rather large.
The birdy demands aren't bad at all; to me they are quite precious. Every morning, Verde' flies into our room, sits on my chest and gives me bird kisses.(He is house-broken, for some strange reason, he flies back to his area to relieve himslef!!) then it's off for the communal banana, and if he can, to sneak a few sips of coffee. at night he pesters me for beer, and of course, the nightly shower (which he does enjoy). I've had him now for 12 years, and because of whatever bad experiences prior to me, he had a very bad attitude at first. However, the last few years have been quite a metamorphisis for him, as he now is the sweetest being I know. Plus he gives me feathers!

i think he looks big b/c he's on the floor and his wings are drooping b/c he's pooped (he was booting it around the room just before the picture).

i'm amazed yours can (or even wants to drink coffee). they say the caffeine is toxic but if he's been around for 12 years, he must be fine with it.

my cockatiel wasn't hand raised and doesn't really care to be handled, just talked too. i can't pet him or scratch him. just sit him on my finger and talk to him for a while. the lovebird is a different story. he must harass everyone and everything around him at all times.

Hahahaha!!
yeah, i don't want him to drink coffee or beer, but...(the moderation thing is in effect).
Well, dude, I am just glad another bird (and guitar!) freak is around. Do your birds like the guitar? Verde' is into it, bigtime!.

I had a cockateil, too. She was a wonderful bird as well, very friendly. Unfortunately, someone's cat pushed my door open and attacked her. That was a sad moment for me.

when i moved, i originally had my birds in my studio but whenever i play guitar, they just scream. (i guess i'm that bad). actually they just like the noise, it's the same when the stereo's on. so now they're in the main room and out of the studio, and the chirps are out of my recordings.

that's better than sqawking, i suppose. Well man, we need to stay in touch or start another bird-related thread - actaully that's one of the few 'mods" of our car - green tail feather in dash.
hey, maybe we could exchange plumage!!!

SEA_P5 September-17th-2002 01:36 PM

It is not rice...if it had an R sticker attached to the back and front then I will call it rice...nice graphics=nice cars...badging for items that the car does not have....that is rice.

I personally like the body graphics. To me it is the same thing as a custom paint job..just much cheaper. And who cares if it is rice. As long as you think it looks good! I am looking for some graphics for the side of my car. But I cant find anything that I like, so I might just design my own and have my friend cut it out with his vinyl machine:D

i'll start one about how my cages fit in the hatch without having to fold the seats being one reason i bought the car. :D
