Best way to accelerate in an Automatic

What a loserly question..... but you know.
Would it be to just slam the pedal and hold it?
Or gradual pressure?
To get the revs up and let go and press down again?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
hahaha i'm sorry.

The best way to do it is to depress the brake fully, and then gradually applying throttle until the tach shows 3000rpm. Then release brake and off you go. I find that having the tranny to kick down it better, since it allows the engine to rev more quickly into the powerband between 4000 to 6500rpm.

holy shit

my and my buddies were arguing about this tonight....weird...well anyways we were talking about to win a race with an automatic the best way....and one guy was saying to start in neutral and then go to 1st...then drive...and all different combos on how to do it....and i really don't know which is best....even though i drive standard...help me out guys, lol thanks!! ;)

Just floor it. If you shift it into neutral and rev it up and drop it into gear, you'll wear out the flywheel very quickly. Automatics use torque converters and they grab when the rpm reaches its stall speed. Either way, it won't make a difference, one will break parts, and the other won't.

Open up the floor board like fred and paddle as fast as you can. :D

Or just stop on the accelerator and do some rocking motion to help propel you.
