Axleback price

Would you guys pay $110 for this?

I'm looking for an exhaust just for looks really, but I don't want anything that'll be buzzy and ricey either, so I figured the axleback would be my best bet since I also don't have much to spend either. Would you guys say $110 shipped is decent?

It's a nice muffler, but if you want it, I'd tell him 80 bucks shipped, period.
He's asking way too much for the condition it's in.

Thanks kargo ... anyone else? Opinions .. please?

I paid 90 shipped for mine. And it was in near perfect condition, no big ass dent. I would consider going for it but not I would offer him over 70 shipped.

Its a really nice exhaust and by far the best sounding around for our cars, I love it.

For your reference, you can buy a brand new Mazdaspeed axle back from Nelson Mazda on eBay for $159 sedan/$169 P5. I would agree with what you have been told, no way that is worth $120 with that dent. There is a difference between the two (P5 is shorter from muffler to tip) so be sure you get the correct one.

I Paid $150 for a brand new one off of eBay. IIRC, it's made by Borla for Mazda.

Tell him to knock off 30 bucks or so, and that's a deal.

BTW: that exhaust sounds sick! I kinda wish I never would have sold mine.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I've decided against it, too much money for the condition it's in.

kargoboy Nov 19, 2005 01:00 PM

Wouldn't hurt to make an offer, all he can do is say no, and anyway, no one's gonna pay what he's asking. If he really wants to sell it, then he'll have to take the best offer he gets. Otherwise, he's stuck with it.

KrayzieFox Nov 19, 2005 06:59 PM

I offered $100 thinking I'd be somewhat generous and reasonable, but he insists that the condition it's in is worth at least $110 preferably $120 so I'm not gonna bother anymore. It's alright, there will be other opportunities.
