AutoCad TIF import
Does anyone know if you can import a TIF file into AutoCad LT 2002? If so How, We switched to the LT package a few months ago & if I remember right the full blown packages you could do this.

Okay we have AutoCAD LT 2002 in our office and I just tried it. It is a bit of a pain to do but you first need to open the tif image in a graphic program, select it and then copy it. Go to AutoCAD and simply use the paste button on the toolbar. Maybe an easier way out there? HTH.

By that I mean I am playing around with a design that finishes off the stripe at the front as well as the rear. This way I can draw it full scale and then cut it out to be used as a template. |
I used Autocad 2000i at my old job, mechanical seal design. At my new job we use SolidWorks. This program is GREAT, and it sure makes my job easier. I know its possible to import a TIF file into Autocad, but I cant give you any details since I havent used it in a while. ;)

I just got my hands on the Autodesk Inventor Series this baby kicks ass. Much better the old Mechanical Desktop 4. The only thing i miss when i use solid work is my command line. im not much on the icons yet. i like to just type it in. :p
