80wpm is pretty fast, but at what cost of accuracy? besides, wpm is no indication of productivity or how skilled you are at using a word processor. i'm a graphic designer and i've never had to put how fast i can type on a resume. its just a number stating "yes i learned to type"

Found a job as a Production Graphic Artist, but it fell through! Corporate office decided to but the job on hold indefinitely. Oh well, I found a job @ a local plant (< 6 miles) that I worked at before, start that monday... running a machine that cuts out metal shelves w/ a laser.

^ yep, got rubber gloves and wrist guards for that :)
actually a pretty cool machine, only part of the job I dread, driving the forklift (get your own raw metal) - I hate those things :) and I gotta a couple of nibbles on selling my car, sure hate to see it go :( |
^ Quit that job (couldnt handle 3rd!, getting old?)
starting another job tomorrow, utility-setup operator ;) |
when you were using the forklift, did they have to show you a safety video featuring Klaus? ^_^

never got around to *learning* the forklift part, the line leader was happy to do all the forklift driving... ;
