me and friends of mine type at like 70-80wpm..
and thats just from time and a simple keyboard class....
oh well...55 is still good tho..

I could type 80wpm, too, if I didn't use punctuation (isnt, thats) and shortened words (tho).....lol.

80wpm is pretty fast, but at what cost of accuracy? besides, wpm is no indication of productivity or how skilled you are at using a word processor. i'm a graphic designer and i've never had to put how fast i can type on a resume. its just a number stating "yes i learned to type"

i used to type faster... probably actually close to 80 wpm, but my last job didnt require fast typing (forms/graphic designer)... we had quite imposing for those LOOONG boring stories...

Found a job as a Production Graphic Artist, but it fell through! Corporate office decided to but the job on hold indefinitely. Oh well, I found a job @ a local plant (< 6 miles) that I worked at before, start that monday... running a machine that cuts out metal shelves w/ a laser.

Congrats, Barry. Gonna keep the 'speed, then, or did you find a buyer?

Jackelope Apr 19, 2006 11:04 AM

AND my wife is going today to see bout getting a pt job @ UGA... so that should help (she grads in June, so full time then...)

heck, maybe i can actually start back down the modd'n trail... single runner manifold... upgraded SMIC... blah blah ;)

... and i'm gonna start pressuri'n my father-in-law some more about redoing the '92, figured if i just start tak'n it apart, that should get him going haha.
