Astina spotted, other ramblings..
 

A couple of weeks ago I was at a local body shop here in Texas when a car drove by that I couldn't readily recognize.. Really bugged the hell out of me.. The other day, I see the car on the road go the other way I am driving, and I am still stumped.. Yesterday, the car pulls into the parking lot where I work, so out the door I go to solve the mystery.. And to my surprise, it was a Mazda 323F! I grabbed my digital camera and shot a few pics for the forum..

Driven by a woman. Wichita Falls is home to Sheppard AFB and we see a lot of euro spec cars (dealers here can order them that way) for the NATO personnel, etc that are stationed here. Not sure where this one came from..

Later that day I saw my second new-gen Austin Mini in town, this one my first Mini S. Much to my dismay, plastered on the back window in shoe polish was a big "CHI O" and other sorrority BS, so I could only shake my head.. Guess that might be my opportunity to take on a Mini S with the P5 and win, huh? No pics of it, but I carry the digital camera in car, so if I see it again, decorated in all it's glory, I'll get the money shot..

Well, today at work got to see a couple more non-US spec cars.. First as I was walking in, two women pull in driving a nice grey MR2. As it goes over the speedbump, and I start to walk in front of it, lady in the passenger seat waves me to cross.. I look closer, and the MR2 is a freaking RHD! Pretty damn cool..

Then later, I'm walking the lot and see what looks like a butchered Ford Escort into a convertable. Get closer, and see it's factory done, and wearing non-US plates..

No pics today.. but this town is small enough that I might run into them again..
