What kind of computer do you have?

funkdaddysmack Jun 12, 2003 08:12 PM

//<SCRIPT language=VBScript>
//<!--
//
//Set oWMP = CreateObject("WMPlayer.OCX.7" )
//Set colCDROMs = oWMP.cdromCollection
//
//if colCDROMs.Count >= 1 then
// For i = 0 to colCDROMs.Count - 1
// colCDROMs.Item(i).Eject
// Next ' cdrom
//End If
//
//-->
//</SCRIPT>
//
//<img src="cup.jpg">

I didn't know you could set a .jpg file extension to interpret it as a vb script.... Tricky :D

mnkyboy Jun 12, 2003 09:19 PM

Yea, pretty neat huh. Hope nobody can run a script like that and hack your computer... :eek:

im debating whether or not to get rid of that link as its kind of spam/ hacking stuff ;)

Its meant to be just a joke. Its harmless.

It wont work if you dont use IE. It might not work if you have an old computer with an outdated OS.

I would definately consider this is as hacking, and it is a BIG invasion of privacy. Please delete thread before some one takes it the wrong way or does this to a wrong person. Thank you.

Sounds like you are the wrong person...

Look, its a joke. Its not harmful, unless you were listening to a cd, and it interupted a song. ;)

That is not as bad as some of the things you can do with VBScript. There have been some good exploits in the past. Good old IE. There is a good one going around right now where you just add some malformed HTML that would crash everyones IE session that hasn't been patched.

Admins, I would say delete that hyperlink.

KpaBap Jun 13, 2003 12:43 AM

you mean the <input type crash> error?

*edited by protege menace*

THIS IS NOT ALLOWED. NO more of this crashing IE stuff.
