Anyone In Georgia, OR ELSEwhere HELP!!
 

what up people

got a question. i live in georgia, and i got a speeding ticket in july of 2001. at the time i was under 21, but i turned 21 that year in sptemeber. the law here states that anyone under the age of 21 that does more than 26 over the limit would get their license revoked. my question is, i went to court, stood before the judge, and paid my fine. no one at the time said that i would have my license revoked. and from what i've been told, if i paid that fine, that was the end of tht ticket.

i'm just confused and all these departments are closed to ask questions.

hoping someone in georgia familiar with out traffic laws might shed some light on this.

is it lawful that they revoked my license today, almost a year later from the date of the speeding ticket, even after i went to court and paid my fine?

or is it that i paid my fine, that was it, they should of took it at the time of court?

well if it anything like the state of iowa. they are really damn slow about taking your license. and really slow about giving it back. :(

but dont yall think that if i was under the age then, i should of got my license taken back then, not now when i'm about to turn 22, i think theys hould of picked up on it then.

i dont think its fair.
