any tips for fighting a ticket?
 

i was in a turning median going left into a fast food joint. a commerical truck was in front, not signaling or going, i could see the guy talking on a phone. i waited for a full minute and decide to go, i couldn't see around him at oncoming traffic, so i slowly creep out to see and go, than the truck decided to go also, so i just sped up and went. my luck a cop was in the parking lot and ticket me for unsafe turning movement. so do i have a case to fight, if so what steps should i take. thanx for ur input.

Go to court and pray that the cop doesn't show up..

I agree, make a court date...then about a week before hand, see if you can reschedule the date for some lame reason, odds are the cop won't show up on the rescheduled date and viola...ticket is thrown out.

I know alot about this stuff because my family and I well lets just say we have a "fast paced" life. If worst comes to worst you can get a lawyer to go to court for you so you dont even have to show up since what you did is no biggie really. Lots of times the laywer is buds with the district and or judge and will get you out if you pay a fine and some to the lawyer, on average I will pay 150 to get a ticket taken off for about 20 over. Odds are if you go to court the cop will not show, but you dont EVER want to do anything to make the cop remember you, if he does he will go to court. And make notes next time you get pulled over, jot down everything. Ive been in court alot about traffic crap it comes in handy, althought it did cost me about 800 bucks to get out of a 90 in a 25, they even made me go to driving school, but hey when Im on my gixxer 750 they have never cought me yet!!!!
